Background

The Precious Ark School is a community-based educational institution established to support children from poor and vulnerable families living in Kariadudu, Riverside and neighbouring slums of Korogocho and Mathare in Nairobi.

The school was founded with the aim of addressing major challenges affecting children:

  • Lack of access to education
  • Poverty and hunger
  • HIV/AIDS related orphanhood
  • Drug abuse among youth
  • Crime and insecurity in the community

To promote community-centered development through quality education.
